About The Paintings
Shimon Maduny has been jeweler and stone cutter for 20 years, working in his gallery in Zefat's Old city. In the summer of 2005 during the 2nd Lebanon's war he was involved with helping shalters in Zefat and supported his neighbors moral. After the war Shimon found it difficult to comeback to routine, the war's sights and sounds haunted him.He suffered from insomnia, in one of the long nights he began to draw,He felt that painting was a source of healing for him and gush strongly from his soul.
He couldn't stop drawing, moved by his creation force , he began deep inner journey, discovering new techniques to express himself.

The paintings are characterized by strong colorfulness and fluid lines which
refect rich inner world influence by Zefat's spirit, Jewish motives and
nature inspiration. The naïve painting's lines cover on layers which are exploded
slowly, The viewing become an active experience which call you to find your
own way to observe them, a way that touch your inside.
